VMIX Secures $2.5 Million to Expand Services in Europe and Asia
Dedicated Services in Western Europe and Singapore Ready for Roll-out
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – September 9, 2010 – VMIX (www.vmix.com), a leading online video platform provider, today announced it has received a $2.5-million round of Series C venture funding.
President and CEO of VMIX Pat Burns said the funding was secured to speed execution of the company’s expansion into more markets and roll out of service operations in Europe and Asia.
“The demand for high-performance, cloud-based video services is escalating so rapidly across the globe,” said Burns. “The ability to deliver your message to clients and users around the world has become a baseline requirement for every kind of organization you can imagine.”
Burns said VMIX stands ready to integrate with corporations requiring a world-class video-management and delivery layer within their technical and business infrastructure.
“Our video platform is scalable, available anywhere, and it enables companies to extend the development, content-management, workflow, and measurement tools and technologies that their organizations typically already have in place.”
He noted that VMIX is on plan to establish local ingestion, encoding, storage and delivery services in Western Europe and Singapore by the end of September. “These operations are critical to our global clients who want a single-service provider capable of delivering top performance and scalability worldwide.”
Burns added that the new service centers would also provide the best-possible service for clients based in Asia and the European Union.
VMIX has received a total of $26 Million in venture funding to date.
